Directions to Stephenson Halliday by road from the South
Leave the M6 Motorway at Junction 36 and follow the A590 and A591 towards Kendal. Take the first turning into Kendal (signed 'Kendal South') and join the one-way system in the town centre. Continue north on the main shopping street and turn right into Lowther Street at the first set of traffic lights immediately before the Town Hall. Continue downhill towards the River Kent and the office is next to the last building on the left side of the street. To park, continue past the office and take the next left turn into the multi-storey car park.
Directions to Stephenson Halliday by road from the North
Leave the M6 Motorway at Junction 39, the exit to Shap and the A6. Continue south on the A6 into Kendal, passing a Morrison's Supermarket on your left. Pass under a railway bridge and join the one-way system following signs to Lancaster and the M6 south. Cross the River Kent and pass a large building of apartments on your left (Sandaire House). Follow the one way system south over two more bridges (following signs to Lancaster and the south) Immediately after the second of these bridges turn right and continue on the one-way system to the traffic lights adjacent to the Town Hall. Follow directions above to the office.
Directions to Stephenson Halliday by Train
Travel by train to Oxenholme the Lake District Station on the main west coast line, served by frequent trains from Scotland, London and the Midlands. Kendal is a short distance (5 minutes by train) from Oxenholme and is served by local trains which often link up with mainline trains. Alight at Kendal Station, walk down the station access and cross to the County Hotel immediately facing you. Turn left past the front of the Hotel, then right and cross the River Kent. Follow the road round to the left passing Sandaire House on your left and a large stone church on your right. Lowther Street is the second street on the right, immediately past where the traffic system crosses another bridge over the river. The office is on the right at the bottom end of the street.
Alternatively, take a short (5 minute) taxi ride from Oxenholme Station.
If you wish to travel by bicycle, there is secure accommodation for cycles at the rear of the office.
