Stephenson Halliday prepared an LVA for Lidl’s proposed regional distribution centre in North Lanarkshire, Scotland.

Our landscape architects and graphics team worked with the client and landscape contractor to develop an appropriate landscape design for the proposed development, comprising a large warehouse with integrated offices and associated hardstanding and parking areas. The landscape design emphasised using native scrubs and woodland to mitigate the loss of trees. The proposed design included a native wild flower meadow and several balancing ponds with associated marginal grassland. We prepared a landscape aftercare and maintenance strategy, providing advice for years 1–5, including long-term maintenance. Following successful planning consent in 2017, construction work began with a view to opening in the winter of 2019.
