Pennyfeathers is a proposed residential and mixed-use development near Ryde, Isle of Wight.
The development comprises 904 residential units, community facilities, including a school, community centre and play areas, a commercial area and structural landscaping and management to form part of a wider country park as part of the Ryde Place Plan. RSK Environment Ltd prepared the environmental impact assessment with RSK Landscape (now part of Stephenson Halliday) undertaking the landscape and visual impact assessment. RSK Landscape prepared a landscape-led masterplan, inclusive of all hard and soft landscapes. This includes public realm, parks, parklets, boulevards, boundaries, play, wellbeing trails, boardwalks, bridges, wayfinding, edible landscapes, rain gardens, shelters and street furniture. We prepared a landscape management plan to ensure the successful establishment of new landscape features and an increase in biodiversity for the benefit of future generations.
