Stephenson Halliday is delighted to have supported Windel Energy in their successful planning application for a Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) facility near Harker, Carlisle.
We represented Windel Energy from the pre-application stage and Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) screening, through to coordinating the technical project team. Our involvement included providing planning and landscape expertise for the submission, resulting in the unanimous approval of the 200 MW BESS. This approval encompasses an on-site substation and grid connection cable route.
